A great new role for an Assistant Corporate Tax Manager working within a top tax firm in their Bristol office.
You will be expected to -
  • Integrate into an established Corporate Tax team of 7
  • Work confidently alongside the Senior Manager or Director when needed
  • Carry out advisory work including tax advisory projects, group restructuring and share based incentives
  • Carry out compliance work including tax administration, HMRC queries and R&D tax relief

Main Duties:
  • Assist in the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies and there will be opportunities to prepare tax computations from time to time.
  • Bookkeeping for clients and preparing and submitting VAT Returns via Quickbooks and proprietary software.
  • Preparation of monthly payrolls.

Within this role you will be expected to have the ability to work across a range of specialism while supporting all senior members of the team on projects. You will be responsible for -
 
  • Creating solutions for projects in PAYE Healthchecks, National Minimum Wage, Employment Status, Global Mobility and Due Diligence
  • Drafting advice for the more senior member of the team
  • Strong knowledge of working with HMRC documents and process
  • Reviewing target company information and preparing transaction reports on a range of topics
  • Clear documentation ensuring all working papers are well presented and concise
  • Reviewing client information
  • Ensuring any outgoing work is in line with the firm’s Tax Manual
  • Leasing with other departments when necessary

As the right candidate you will have –
