Part Time Financial Controller

Quinton Davies is pleased to be partnering with a new client for the recruitment of a Part Time Financial Controller to oversee their growing finance function. The ideal candidate will look to work for 2-3 days a week, and have relevant experience at a similar level in a circa £150m sized business.
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts 
  • Analyse monthly variances
  • Ownership of transactional elements of the business
  • Ensure all financial reporting complies with government regulations
  • Liaise with external auditors and enquiries 
  • Develop annual budgeting and financial plans for the company
  • Become part of the management team and provide financial or non financial data to support and improve the distance
  • Use data to develop guidance to push the business forward
  • Support senior management in ad hoc and business decisions 
  • Assessing and managing risk 
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or equivalent experience 
  • Industry experience 
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and SAP is desirable but not essential 
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel 
  • Good team player and interpersonal skills
  • Commercially aware

We are looking for multiple experienced Accounts Payable Clerks who are just either just at the start of their finance journey or fully underway.

You will be:
• Process invoices and credit notes on a daily basis.
• Promptly and effectively deal with supplier queries, acting as a contact point for queries.
• Ensure the appropriate authorisations are gained prior to payment of invoices, in line with group policy.
• Complete fortnightly supplier payments schedules in preparation for the Purchase Ledger
• Manager processing the payment run.

• Ensuring control accounts are investigated as and when needed

• BACS control items and bank reconciliations are actioned

• Provide support to new team members
