Finance Manager (FTC)

Finance Manager (6 Months FTC)

Salary - 60K 
 
My market leading client is looking for an interim finance manager to come in and take over the financial reporting side of the business as well as engaging in daily transactional duties. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strong attention to detail on financial transactions, including accounts receivable, payable and payroll
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements and P&L
  • Take a lead in controlling account reconciliations, prepayments and recharges 
  • Review and process sales order with special teams to ensure terms and pricing are up to date
  • liaise with management team to support audit process internally and externally 
  • Manage monthly and quarterly VAT returns for the UK and other destinations in Europe 
Qualifications:
  • Fully Qualified Accountant
  • Understanding of UK GAAP and familiarity with IFRS 15 and 16 
  • High diligence to detail with financial reporting 
  • Proficiency in using accounting software e.g Excel and Sage
  • Experience within construction or engineering (desirable)

Location: The office is based in Bristol but the role is remote.

Overview:
Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a very established accountancy practice who are looking for a Private Client Tax Director to help bolster their already impressive tax offering in the region.

Duties & Main Responsibilities:
  • Working with the management team to manage and develop the tax team – this will include recruiting team members and coaching them so that they can reach their full potential
  • Building strong relationships with a broad portfolio of tax clients and ensuring that the firm continues to offer high end quality service
  • Building/retaining a good network of local contacts within the local market to aid business development

The company outlines specific responsibilities, performance measurements, health and safety guidelines, environmental management practices 
 
  • To be aware of your own responsibilities under the Health & Safety at work etc Act 1974.
  • To take care of your own safety and the safety of others.
  • To ensure that where personal protective equipment such as high visibility vest, eye protection and head                       protection is specified and issued for a particular activity or area, it is used in the appropriate manner.
  • To comply with the law and all company policies and First Safety Principles at all times. The use of mobile phones       is prohibited whilst driving as smoking in a company vehicle or the use of prohibited equipment. Steering wheel           covers  and wheel chocks must be used when working on vehicles.
  • To report to their manager or supervisor any injury, collision, dangerous occurrence or a near miss in which they           were involved, or are aware of having taken place at their place of work, or any concern regarding any health or           safety issue.
  • To co-operate with management in the investigation of injuries, collisions or other incidents, in training                           programmes, safety campaigns and the achievement of health and safety performance targets.
  • To make full use of the Health and Safety Committees by making suggestions to improve health and safety.
  • To use hazardous substances, operate plant and equipment, drive and manoeuvre buses safely and in                         accordance with the information, training and instruction received.
  • To ensure that all contractors follow the group on-site health and safety policy.
  • To participate in the promotion a safety culture at all times
  • To ensure compliance with the requirements of the environmental management manual at depot level.

  • To repair work arising from routine vehicle inspections, vehicle defect cards and annual test preparation.
  • To carry out the painting of minor bodywork following remedial repairs.
  • To undertake fibreglass bodywork repairs.
  • To carry out repair estimates for third party insurance recoveries
