AP Reconciliations Supervisor

Our client is a prestigious and recognised international brand, based in Bristol. Due to needs to cover internal projects our client are searching for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join the team and supervise the Accounts Payable function on a 12 Month FTC.
You will be working closely with an already established Accounts Payable function, your role will be to:
• Lead the Purchase Ledger Team
• Inputting of invoices and expenses
• Preparing Purchase Ledger Control account reconciliation
• Benchmarking and reporting against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Liaising with colleagues on cash flow and balance sheet matters as they relate to purchase ledger activity.

You
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role or within a financial organisation, previous experience with purchase ledger processing and reconciliation work as well as line management skills to supervisory level. Candidates will also need to have strong Excel skill and be confident using accounting packages.

My market leading client is seeking a proven finance leader for a Senior Finance Manager role at their Head Office in Bristol. Managing a team and integrating with a range of senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, you will deliver the integration of the company’s acquisition strategy from an accounting perspective.


Responsibilities
  • Delivery of completion accounts and apportionment statements
  • Build on the existing process of monitoring completion account workflow, understanding project status and completion time
  • Stakeholder management of external accountants and vendors, as well as internal teams
  • Monitoring deliverables closely, managing relationships and escalations
  • Sign off control account reconciliations
  • Manage implementation of processes and procedures
  • Ensure robust controls
  • Ensure legal structures acquired are appropriate and understood
  • Escalate challenges which could affect the integration
  • Deliver training/support on key finance processes
  • Review dashboards, ensuring quality and timeliness on tasks
     
Skills & Experience required
  • Degree level and qualified accountant - CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent experience
  • Technically strong understanding of balance sheets and financial statements
  • Proven delivery in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • First class stakeholder engagement and relationship management experience
  • A pragmatic problem-solver, calm and confident under pressure
  • Advanced Excel skills, exposure to a range of IT systems
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline focussed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well within the team, and communicate effectively
  • Proven team manager and leader
