    Business Services Assistant

    Role: Accounts Assistant
    Location: Coventry

    Salary: £16,000 - £20,000

    Overview:
    Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a well-established regional accountancy practice firm based in Coventry who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their successful team. 

    Main Duties:
    • Ability to process purchase invoices, sales invoices and reconcile bank accounts within online bookkeeping software, ideally Xero and Quickbooks Online.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts preparation and submission of VAT returns, dealing directly with queries arising from those and other ad-hoc duties given to them
    • Develop day-to-day client relationships in connection with those roles
    • Able to communicate regularly, clearly and efficiently with other departments as well as clients
    • Planning and managing work and a client portfolio
    • Ensure client deadlines are met

    Experience / Qualifications Required:
    • Part or fully AAT qualified
    • Practice experience
    • VAT return experience
    • Self-motivated, efficient and hard working
    • Able to keep up to date with accounting legislation and attend courses
    • Knowledge of accounting rules
    • IT literate
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to interact positively with staff and clients at all levels
    • Must be able to take ownership and responsibility of tasks and follow through to completion

    Accounts Semi Senior / Senior / Manager

    Role: Accounts Semi Senior / Senior / Manager
    Salary: £28,000 - £40,000
    Location: West Midlands

    Overview:
    Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a well-established practice firm based in the West Midlands who are looking for candidates at Accounts Semi Senior, Senior and Manager level.

    If you are part, nearly or fully ACCA qualified then one of these roles could be for you!!

    Main Duties:
    • To produce to a high-level client work to include, completion of statutory accounts, consolidated accounts, management accounts, tax computation, VAT returns, payroll and general advice to the client in respect of UK Companies and Partnerships.
    • To provide technical assistance to members of staff in the accounting services department.
    • To assist the Directors in the monitoring of outstanding client work and to ensure work is completed by the accounting services team in a timely manner.
    • To assist in the identification and implementation of improved working processes.
    • To ensure the work processes are documented and kept up to date to quality assurance levels.
    • To assist in the design and implementation of new or improved accounting systems for a range of clients to include internal training of client staff in the use of such systems

    Experience / Qualifications Required:
    • At least 2-5 years’ experience in practice
    • Accountancy packages such as Xero, Quickbooks, IRIS, SAPA and Sage Line 50
    • VAT technical experience
    • CIS technical experience
