Role: Private Client Tax Assistant
Salary: £18,000 - £24,000 plus full study support
Location: Exeter

Overview:
Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a large regional accountancy practice in the Southwest who are looking for a Private Client Tax Assistant to join their Exeter office.


This is the perfect opportunity for somebody ambitious and relatively early on in their accountancy practice career who is keen to progress within the personal tax arena.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation of tax returns
• Dealing with client communications in respect of their tax affairs including drafting letters and emails and speaking to clients on the telephone
• Assisting in the completion of various tax forms
• Working as part of a team to ensure good client service

Experience and Qualifications required:

• Ideally you’ll be part qualified or ATT qualified, however a willingness to undertake study is more important as full study support is on offer.
• Comfortable working with figures, accurate and understand the significance of calculations
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Have an aptitude towards spreadsheets and word processing
• Some work experience in a professional services environment or an accountancy practice is desirable
• Personable, inquisitive and willing to ask questions when unsure

Role: Payroll Assistant (Part Time - 3 days a week)
Location: Exeter
Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 FTE

Overview:
Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a well-established regional accountancy practice firm in Exeter who are looking for a part time Payroll Assistant to join their successful team. 

Main Duties:

• Processing the payroll for multiple businesses
• Preparation of P11d’s
• Managing auto-enrolment
• Managing year-end processes
• Corresponding with HMRC as necessary

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• Recent, extensive experience of handling multiple payrolls for a variety of different sized clients
• Work well in a busy, deadline driven environment

Role: Client Portfolio Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Location: Exeter

Overview:
Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a well-established, modern and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in central Exeter who are looking for a Client Portfolio Manager.

Ideally my client would like somebody to join who can hit the ground running and is coming from a similar role in another firm however, they will consider experienced and or qualified Seniors who would like to step up into a more managerial role.

Main Duties:
• Manage a varied portfolio of around 250 clients across a range of industries.
• Your responsibilities will be across primarily Accounts Preparation, Tax assignments and a very small amount of Audit.
• Organising and planning the workload across the team.
• Working with the Directors; setting budgets, negotiating fees and monitoring the billings.
• Supervise, support and mentor trainee members of the team.
• You will play an active role in developing and growing your own portfolio.

Experience / Qualifications Required:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with minimum of 2 years PQE
• At least 5 years’ experience in practice
• Accountancy packages such as Xero, Quickbooks, IRIS, SAPA and Sage Line 50
• VAT technical experience

Role: Accounts Senior / Junior Client Manager
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000
Location: Exeter

Overview:
Quinton Davies are working on behalf of a rapidly growing independent accountancy practice firm based in Exeter who are looking for an Accounts Senior or Junior Client Manager to join their friendly and successful team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Joining a busy and successful team as an Accounts Senior / Junior Client Manager you will take on responsibility for the delivery and management of wide-ranging services to a mixed client base of OMBs, SMEs and corporate clients, along with some smaller clients.

There is opportunity to mould this to a good degree around the motivations and preferences of the right candidate, focused entirely working on clients under the audit threshold in turnover, with clients into the millions overseeing the delivery of accounts, corporation tax and other wider ranging services.

Whilst you will have a hands-on role, there will be scope to progress into a managerial level capacity, developing client relationships with involvement in wider planning and advisory project work, working alongside partners on delivery. You will also look to mentor and assist in the development of junior staff, reviewing work and acting as a key support taking a lead in the development and progression of the team. There will be a clear development, appraisal and progression path on offer.

Experience / Qualifications Required:
AAT / ACA / ACCA part or fully qualified with 2 years or more experience in practice.

Background within accountancy practice at an Accounts Semi-Senior / Senior level, with a demonstrable career preparing and overseeing the delivery of general accountancy practice services to a mixed client base of corporate, OMB / SME limited companies, partnerships and sole traders across a wide range of industry sectors.
