    Role: Accountant
    Salary: £20,000 - £24,000

    Overview:
    Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a Top 50 practice firm based in Newport who are looking for an Accountant due to continued growth.

    My client is a practice that offer a friendly and professional service to all their clients. They take pride in their working environment which is relaxed and supportive.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Preparation and completion of Limited Company accounts
    • Preparation of management accounts
    • Preparation of VAT Returns under different VAT schemes
    • Dealing with ad hoc queries raised by clients
    • Ability to reconcile all control accounts
    • Understanding of Companies Act disclosures for Financial Statements

    Experience / Qualifications Required:
    • AAT qualified and/or ACCA part qualified (or equivalent)
    • At least 2 years’ experience in an accountancy organisation/industry preparing non audit company accounts
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
    • Experience with Xero, Sage Line 50 and other products
    • Strong communication skills, both internally and directly with clients.
    • Ability to perform well working in a team as well as individually
    • Self-manage work loads
    • Competent meeting organisation deadlines

    Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a medium sized independent practice firm based in Plymouth who are looking for a Bookkeeper.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Bookkeeping for a range of clients primarily using Xero but with some work on other well-known accounting systems.
    • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting VAT returns and CIS returns.
    • Preparing management accounts to draft stage for review by a Client Manager.
    • Liaising with clients and managing relationships.

    Experience / Qualifications Required:
    • QBE or AAT qualified (or equivalent)
    • Have worked in a similar position previously with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
    • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
    • Always ensure you maintain an excellent level of attention to detail.
    • Have a can-do attitude with a continuous drive for improvement.
